A Little Life Update

Now folks, I'm sorry to have to tell you all that I've been struggling lately.
You see, this week I've had the joy of moving into a 9 bed house with seven guys & my friend Jenny, as well as having the task of surviving Freshers Week.
So I'm not going to lie, amidst some pretty brutal hangovers, introductory lectures (Yes Mum, I 'definitely' am going to all of these), and cracking on with some house 'bonding', I've basically had no time at all to blog.
(I also highly doubt some of the recent antics that we've been up to are internet worthy!)

So this is a little life update to fill you in with what's going on in the world of Emily (& to stop you from thinking that I'm abandoning you!) I'm just merely finding my feet once again as a uni student in a new house and with my newly pimped out room.

Rather girly, quite British & homey.... Just the way that I like it.
(There is however 5 annoyingly long flights of stairs to get up there!)

With the essentials all sorted, you would think that being in a student house for me = baking galore. Well no not exactly.
The kitchen isn't exactly blogger friendly with pots & pans everywhere, little to no natural light and well.. 9 other people wanting to use it at the same time!
But do not fret, I'm going to find a way to make this work, baking is not being sidestepped!

My days are thus being largely spent lounging around, chilling with my house mates & having some pretty cracking nights out that have some rather sore effects the next day. (Including losing my voice already...)
Freshers Week might seem lazy to some, it might even seem a little bit like alcoholism to others, but to be perfectly honest- God damn it I missed Leeds.
I promise that I'll try to not be a stranger for too long!

  1. Your room looks lovely, really big too! I'd love to have one like that at uni, I'm not a fan of the modern places with no character. And I feel your pain when it comes to the kitchen, I tried doing a recipe post in my sister's shared student kitchen and it was hard! I ended up only photographing the food zoomed in haha so as not to get the grittiness!xx

    1. Thanks Paprika! Lugging it all up 5 flights of stairs was a nightmare, but I find that if I make it as homey as possible I barely ever get home sickness.
Yes... the kitchen. I have to disinfect everything before any cooking commences- I'm trying!!!
The grittiness is... Unavoidable I'm finding! x
