Nutella Brownies (GF)

Let us all just take a few seconds to appreciate this wondrous sight...

Yes, I'm drooling. You're drooling. We are all drooling. 
And yes, these are exactly what you think they are...

These are the moistest, fudgiest, chocolatey-est of brownies that I've ever made. If you love Nutella, then say hello to the holy grail.

I whipped up a batch of these bad boys the morning after a big hockey night out; I'm sure can all imagine the looks on my house mates' faces when I walked through the door carrying an enormous tray of these. Yep, I was deemed as an angel. 

And the reason that I'm torturing so many dieters out there to torture?

Well, the 5th February is... *Dum Dum Durrrr*

"National Nutella Day" 

(Well, according to the numerous Facebook event pages that I've been invited to anyway!)

So if you fancy celebrating one of the best foods ever created (in my opinion), then whip up a batch of gluten free Nutella Brownies. They're unbelievably simple and quick to make so there aren't really many excuses to not!

To make your own Gluten Free Nutella Brownies, you will need:
- 100g milk chocolate
- 225g butter
- 200g caster sugar
- 3 large eggs (beaten)
- 150g ground almonds
- 1 whole tub of Nutella. *Drool*
- 100g chopped hazelnuts if you have any to hand, (unfortunately I couldn't find any in my local stores- student shopping problems!)

Preheat your oven to 170C/150 fan and line a 24cm/9inch square baking tin with parchment. 

In a large pan, melt the chocolate, Nutella and butter together on a low heat, stirring as it goes.

Take the pan off of the heat, add in the sugar and allow the molten chocolate batter to cool a little.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the ground almonds and hazelnuts (if using). 
Turn into the prepared tin and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes.
They'll be really gooey when you take them out of the oven, but once cooled cut them up carefully.

(I managed to save one for the next day and they tasted even better cold in my opinion. But... they were pretty darn amazing still warm, I'm going to try to make another batch and eat them warm with ice cream; I just need to make sure my house aren't around to eat them all before I can do so!)

And there you have it. A ridiculously simple recipe that it whipped up in under 45 minutes and is like heaven in a mouthful.
