M1LK, Balham

A few weekend's ago I had the ultimate pleasure of catching up with this beauty...

Immy & I met through blogging a while ago & we were well in need of a catch up.
Of course, bloggers have a habit of brunching, and we weren't ones to break this unspoken rule.
Immy suggested we hit up the nearby M1LK in Balham, an Aussie owned brunch spot that we had both heard buckets of optimism about.

With a good dose of caffeine by our sides, Immy & I started catching up about, life, jobs, boys, London & well- just about everything.

And of course... I couldn't help eyeing up the cakes with a rumbling stomach.

After a short wait, some of the most instagrammable/beautiful brunches to be found in London, were plated up before our eyes.
Immy plumped for their buckwheat pancakes, wild agriculture raspberries, meadowsweet almond crumb, caramelised goat’s cream and fennel flowers...

Whereas I picked their baked eggs, grilled kaeserkrainer (sausage with cheese- yes cheese- running through it) house made labne, wild ramson, dill & chive flowers.
Utterly, utterly divine.
Just the right size for a hearty breakfast & it packed a punch of flavour.
M1lk, I salute you.

And the best part about brunching with another blogger?

There's no shame.

M1lk in Balham will now without a doubt be one of my new regular pitstops.
You've sometimes got to queue for a while to get a table since its as popular as hell, but good things come to those who wait!

Reasonably priced for a hearty brunch, pretty healthy on the whole & damn good coffee- M1lk has it all.
