Belle Mare Plage, Mauritius

In what feels like a lifetime ago, I ditched the stress of work & hopped on a plane to a place I can only describe as paradise.

I went for a week long break with my family & stayed in the absolutely stunning Belle Mare Page.
After being worn down & stressed for the past couple of weeks in the whirlwind of London life, waking up to nothing except the sea breeze was surreal.

Decked out in my snazzy elephant print trousers from my trip to Morocco, everyday, we lazily awoke & pottered down to the breakfast buffet.

I got used to settling down to my daily (and rather random) breakfast...

Smoked Marlin (I'm addicted to smoked salmon, but this was ridiculously fresh.)
Homemade Bircher Muesli.
Fresh Melon.
Homemade pastries and pancakes.
(And buckets of coffee & mango juice)

After stocking up for the day ahead, we grabbed our beach bags & went outside to grab a spot for the day ahead.

Utter, utter paradise...

And what better way to break up the days, lounging on a sun bed, than with a mojito or two?

Or stopping for a nibble in one of the beach restaurants...

And finishing off the day with a glass of ice cold, Rose?

Yep.
