About Little Old Me

Hello, Hello!
Welcome to my little slice of the internet.

Want to know more about little, old me?
Well here you go, I'll try to not be too cringe...

- Who even are you?!

I'm Emily. A redheaded, 22yr old graduate living in London who documents anything & everything that catches my eye.
I'm a firm believer in always seeing the silver lining of things & living life in a million different colours. (Check out my Instagram feed if you don't believe me- no classic blogger white washes there!)

Digital marketer by day, blogger by night.
I live for food. (No exaggeration.)
Bake a lot.
Adore travelling.
Spend far too much time on social media.
Drink buckets of coffee.
Love the gym.
Like to take chances.
And, I have a serious passion for life and making the most of living.

- When did you start your blog?

1st January 2012.
It was originally under the name 'My Ginger Bread Journey', but I changed it to 'Auburn Antics' in 2015. You can see a post all about why, here.
My blog started as a way to remember my quickly passing university years and then I quickly got bitten by the blogging bug.

- What sort of camera do you use?

I use an Olympus Pen & my trusty, trusty iPhone!

- There's a lot of foodie stuff on here, why?

 I've always loved food.
My mum and grandmother are keen cooks and I've been lucky enough to have been brought up to love and appreciate it through their own passion and by being taken to some incredible countries/restaurants. I fell in love with food because it not only has emotional ties, but because I realised it's a fantastic way to be creative.
As a result, whether it be a meals, an event, or adventure, for me these always begin with food.

- What is your favourite thing to bake?

Even though I love pushing myself and trying new things when it comes to baking, the home comforts are always the best.
My buttery banana bread filled with broken chocolate is my absolute favourite and I must make it a few times a month.
Other than that, my Gin & Tonic cake never fails to please!

- Do you have a disclosure policy?

Yes. Check out my contact page for the details.
In short, please don't take my content or pictures without written permission.
All content and photography is my own.
I'm also a PR friendly blogger and open to all suggestions.

How can I contact you?

The best way is either by email: (auburnantics@gmail.com), or alternatively, drop me a tweet
I always try to reply ASAP.

    1. Thanks Ella! It does stand out from the crowd a little..!
Glad to see a fellow textiles lover!
I used to embroider for my textiles A Level, but it wasn't dress making at all, it was more creating texture and detail to create a face/piece of art. My favourite thing I did was a piece on the tea trades and I even sewed material to make real life believable cupcakes! (Not easy at all!)
Hope you stick around :) xx
